Mindful Motherhood

So, we did a thing - we decided to get on the blog train – yay! With the launch of our new blog, we are excited to start promoting something that has been in our hearts for a long time: Mindful Motherhood. We want to invite all of you into a dialogue about motherhood, family life, sustainability, education, health, mindfulness, fashion, babies, and much, much more. Ultimately, we want to help create a community of mothers helping mothers.

Why now? Well, Covid-19 really had us doing some soul-searching. We have seen how the virus has devastated families and we feel the collective pain. The implications are far-reaching and we worry about what our world will look like when this is over. In times like these, we try to think about the things we are grateful for. Here at Tesa Babe, we're grateful for the health of our families and loved ones, and we feel fortunate that we have been able to support ourselves doing what we love. We are also blessed that you, our customers, have continued to support our small business. However, everyone has been affected in different ways, and we understood when our network of over 200 boutiques called to delay their orders. These are unprecedented times, and everyone is experiencing the effects of the economy slowing down.

This got us thinking here at Tesa Babe. What exactly does it mean to ‘slow down’? To us it means taking a step back from the harried lifestyle, prioritizing quality time with loved ones, and spending more time with family doing the things we enjoy most. As business owners, mothers, and creators, we realize that we are in a position to help make a difference. And so, Tesa Babe is making a commitment to be the change we want to see in the world by starting a journey toward what’s most important in life - family, health, happiness, and creating a sustainable legacy for our children.

This will be an uncharted voyage for us. We know we are not as green, as efficient, and as focused as we want to be… yet. Over the coming months and years, we will be altering our business model, retooling our systems and redesigning our product line to reflect the change we desire in our lives. As we grow, we plan to be more sustainable in our corporate philosophy and in our business practices so that we can help build a better life for ourselves, our families, our customers, and our planet. We are working on a plan that will get us to where we want to be, and we invite YOU --our community of parents and grandparents, friends and extended families-- along for the journey.
